Runpoint built the Bitix app as a free service (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the Service.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We only collect and use information as described in this Privacy Policy and do not sell your personal information.
Food photos you capture in the app
When you use Bitix to scan or analyze food, the app uses your device camera to take photos of your food. These photos are securely transmitted from your device to Runpoint-operated servers, and from there to a third-party AI provider for analysis (for example, to recognize foods and estimate nutritional information).
We and our third-party AI provider do not retain these photos after analysis is complete. Photos are only processed transiently to provide the requested results and are not added to long-term storage or used to build profiles of you.
Health data (if you connect to Apple Health)
If you choose to connect Bitix to Apple Health, we may read and/or write certain health-related data (such as weight, energy, or nutritional metrics) to help you track your progress. The types of data accessed are controlled by you through the Apple Health permission dialogs.
Health data accessed through Apple Health is used only to provide and improve features within Bitix (for example, to show charts and reports). We do not sell this data or share it with advertisers.
Log and usage data
In case of errors or for basic analytics, we may collect diagnostic information through third-party products. This may include your device Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when using the Service, timestamps of requests, and other technical statistics.

Food photos you capture are not stored long term. They are processed in transit by Runpoint and our third-party AI provider solely to generate analysis results, and then discarded.
Other data you explicitly save in the app (such as your profile, settings, and logged meals) may be stored for as long as necessary to provide the Service, unless you delete it from within the app or request its deletion where applicable.
Before Bitix can use your camera, iOS will display a system permission dialog that includes a concise explanation that food photos are uploaded for analysis. By granting camera access and using the scanning feature, you consent to this processing.

We value your trust in providing us your information, and we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it during transmission and processing. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure or reliable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
The Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
